Career history

Mark served as CEO and Asian Deputy Chair of PwC for the final four years of his 30 year tenure at PwC, one of Australia’s leading professional services firms. He retired from PwC in July 2012. Prior to becoming CEO, he held a number of leadership positions in PwC Australia, and served a number of the firm’s major clients in audit, accounting, due diligence, fundraising and risk and governance services. Former roles also include, member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, member of the Business Council of Australia, Deputy Chair of the Finance and Reporting Committee at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Executive Council of the UNSW Business School Advisory Board.

Current appointments

In addition to MHPF, Mark is also a Director and Chairman of G8 Education, Director of Westfield Corporation, Director of Coca-Cola Amatil and a Director for the not for profits The Hospitals Contribution Fund of Australia (HCF), The Smith Family and St. Aloysius' College.


He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
